As people say, dogs are human's best friends. For me, that is true, because since I was little, I got used to have dogs as friends to play with. Even I can still exactly remember, when there was a time as I lost my dog because of her old age. She was waiting for me to come home from school. After she had already seen me, then she died in my own lap. That time was really a touching moment for me.

DIGI itself has no specific meaning. That word just crossed my mind when I needed a name for my kennel. Maybe the word come from Digital.

In early 1999, I bought a Chow-Chow puppy from one of petshops in Jakarta. Her name was Kezia Von Gunung Madu. I purchased her at quite a low price for a purebred dog, 900 thousand Rupiah. According to what I knew, the price of a purebred dog at that time was above 2 million Rupiah. Even the price was for fair quality dogs. My knowledge about purebred dogs at that time was very limited. I only knew that body's defences of purebred dogs isn't as good as non-purebred dogs. At the beginning, my dogs usually ate the same food like what our family ate. But after I get the information that dogs should be given dog food, because dog food have already a complete nutrition, that dogs need to get vaccinations, and that their food have to be taken care of, I gave Kezia dog food and gave her vaccinations as scheduled. I had no clue why, unfortunately she died few months later.

Early 2003 I bought a Pekingese. She is Shakira Von Coco Chanel. She is my first Pekingese. Since then, my interest in Pekingese are huge. Even until now I still often search information about Pekingese in internet. There is from where I got alot of information about how a Pekingese should looked like. Their appearance, face, etc. From there I also knew that the origin from Pekingese is China and that the originally Pekingese have long-haired coat.

Then from these information I started searching Pekingese breeders in Jakarta. I even once asked PERKIN (the main organisation of dogs in Indonesia) about Pekingese breeders. But they didn't know exactly about it, since Pekingese are very rare in Jakarta. Even if there are, it's very far from high-quality. Because I was hopeless not finding any Pekingese breeder, I started to search Pekingese breeders in countries around Indonesia. And then I became acquainted with the owner of Takeshi Kennel in Malaysia. From him I knew about how Pekingese should be taken care of. I also knew from him about dog shows. Few times I had seen dog shows which being held in Jakarta.

Not long after that, I decided then to buy a male Pekingese from him. Takeshi's The Sailor Man(Popeye), that's his name. The first time I saw him, I was really impressed. All this time, I thought Pekingese are normal dog with a normal coat. But Popeye, he has a marvellous coat. And I was very happy that time. But regrettably I was dissapointed once more. Popeye only has one testicle (mono-testicle). At first I was confused what it meant and what the impact were. And in fact it meant that he can't be shown and better not be mated. One of my purpose in having Popeye, besides because I like him, was also because I wanted to try to participate in dogs show in Jakarta.

And then in 2004 I got to know with Bentry Kennel's owner. Bentry Kennel is a Golden Retriever kennel. After few times I met him and visited his wide kennel, I was interested to try to have Golden Retriever. I bought from Bentry Kennel totally 5 female Golden retriever. Galagold Fiorentina, A. Mossie Von Hofodo, Acantha Von Lembang, Dancing Queen Phyton von Bentry, and Dancing Queen Love von Bentry Von Bentry.

Afterwards I also mated my female Pekingese. These puppies are the first Pekingese litter from DIGI Kennel. And I kept one of this litter, DIGI Angel Eyes.

Because of this hobby, I also got to know many people with the same hobby. From them I also gain many input about many things related to dogs. Then in 2005 once more I imported a male Pekingese from Takeshi Kenel, Takeshi's Colour Combo.

Early 2006 I decided to move to Germany. Why Germany? Because I see there are a lot of high-quality Pekingese in Germany and around Germany (Europe). And I am hoping in Germany I can learn a lot from people who for sure know and understand Pekingese better than me. My target for future, step by step I am going to gain my knowledge about Pekingese here. And also I am going to show my Pekingese which I have here.

My future expectationis that I can also slowly participate in developing Pekingese breed. Because Pekingese are really lack in number. And I am already deep in love with Pekingese. Everyday I never get bored to seek new information about Pekingese in the world and to learn many new things about Pekingese. So that I will have many knowledge about Pekingese. For the future, I am also going to develop Golden Retriever which I also have.

Now in Germany I already have 2 female Pekingese, as a foundation of DIGI Kennel in Germany, Wyn-D-Hill Deep Dark Secret from Wyn-D-Hill Kennel Germany, and Yasmine Lady Bohemia Orchis from Bohemia Orchis Kennel Czech Republic. And when everything goes smooth, early 2007 DIGI Kennel will have another female Pekingese. This time from a kennel in Estonia. This puppy has 100% English bloodline which comes from top kennels in England and also from top Europe and England Pekingese.

I always take care of my dogs, give them good dog food and sufficient vitamin. I also give them love and attention, because I think it's the best vitamin for a dog. And I am trying to make sure every DIGI Kennel's puppies are in the hands of people who really love dogs and want to take a good care of them.
